Ideas Journal
Assignment Due:
Starting in Week 2, you will be asked to keep an online blog documenting your journey through the for the remainder of the course which will be accessible to all participants. The purpose of the blog is to become a ideas journal where you will place any thoughts you have about the course, eureka! moments or creative ideas you have during the course. It is about demonstrating and reflecting upon your creative process.
You can use any formats you like including comments, photos, videos or links. Feel free to doodle on paper and attach pictures! Or take videos of things that have inspired you and attach them to your blog as you will see in the example below.
At the end of Week 10 we will be reviewing the content for quantity not quality so don't be afraid to experiment or to voice thoughts that are not fully formed.
You will be using Google blogger to create the blog and should share your Google account details during Week 2's discussion about this assignment. Click on the button below for details from Google on how to use Google Blogger.

Idea Development and Innovation Forum

There are multiple parts to this assignment
For your main assignment you will be asked to create a design brief and pitch your idea to an innovation forum made up of 3 senior marketing representatives from across Europe.
This assignment will start in Week 6 when you will be asked to conceive an idea related to your area of expertise. For this idea you will need to create a design brief that you will submit for peer review during week 8. We have provided you with a template below that includes the key questions you must consider when creating you brief.
You will then be asked to review three of your peers design briefs and provide them with feedback. Below you will find a peer feedback form with the some questions for you to consider during the review. You will need to return a separate feedback form for your three peers by Friday of Week 9.
On Monday of Week 10 you will receive feedback on your design brief from your peers. Using this feedback refine your brief and prepare a pitch for the Innovation forum.
The Pitch with the innovation forum will take place on Thursday of Week 10 using our corporate communication tool Adobe Connect, a time will be assigned close to this date. The length of your presentation should be a maximum of 5 minutes and can use any methods or tools that can be communicated effectively using Adobe Connect. The presentation will be follow by 5 minutes question and answers with the forum. You must provide the forum with a copy of your final design brief at the end of this session.
The innovation forum will review your Pitch based on quality and relevance to our business strategy. Feedback will be shared within 2 weeks of event.
Note: Ideas with potential may be taken further after the course is completed.
